Come and enjoy the family carousels in the city centre, on the Allées Paul Riquet and Place Jean-Jaurès.

From 23 November, we also invite you to the Béziers Christmas Market, on the Allées Paul Riquet, to enjoy a warm and cosy atmosphere in the midst of its 34 chalets.

Come and warm up with mulled wine or taste gourmet products (chocolate, maple syrup, jams, meringue balls, nougat, candied fruit, raclette, waffles, pancakes…) and window-shop in front of glittering stalls…

Enjoy a hot drink, delight your palate with dishes from different countries and let yourself be seduced by the original creations of the craftsmen (Christmas jumpers, candles, toiletries and scarves, Christmas decorations, handmade crockery, cashmere accessories, jewellery and knives…), which will help you to fill your sack with beautiful gifts!

From 23 November to 5 January, you will enjoy a regular programme of musical entertainment (wheel of fortune, bands, peñas, concerts…).

The Christmas parade in Béziers

During the Christmas period, the must-see event is of course the Christmas parade, which is eagerly awaited every year! Follow the procession through the town, accompanying its 10 illuminated floats, and admire the choreography of the 160 dancers who will dazzle your eyes with their colourful costumes! through the town to the rhythm of the music.

Practical information about the Christmas parade :

When? The parade takes place on 21 December at 7pm.
What route will it take?
It will pass along the long side of the Allées Paul Riquet, continue to the Victoire roundabout, and pass through: rue de la République, rue Paul Riquet, and place de la Mairie.

If you pass in front of Béziers Town Hall between 30 November and 5 January, don’t hesitate to take a look at the traditional Christmas crib; you can even attend a concert when it is inaugurated.

Do you like nativity scenes? Don’t miss this unmissable event and take a little train ride to discover them.

The programme: an exclusive guided tour in the morning, from the Basilique Saint-Aphrodise to the 9 locks of Fonseranes, passing by the Town Hall. During the free breakfast, make a gastronomic stop at the Christmas market and complete your day with all our Christmas activities and events.

La Madeleine Place and church

Throughout the month of December, we invite you to come to the Place de la Madeleine to spend some warm and cosy moments with family and friends.

Children will be able to meet all the animals of the Christmas farm, feed the newborns and milk the cows. Ponies, hens, rabbits, sheep, goats, pigs, geese… and many more are waiting for you!

Basilique saint-Aphrodise

On your way through the old town of Béziers, stop at the Basilique Saint Aphrodite. This magnificent pre-Romanesque monument will not leave you indifferent. This visit will also allow you to discover the exhibition ‘Crèches du monde, un monde de crèches “ (”Nativity Scenes of the World, a World of Nativity Scenes’).

Near The locks de Fonseranes

The animated nativity scene of Fonseranes

Since 2019, the ‘Amis de Saint-Aphrodise ’ have been setting up their animated crib every year. Come and admire this creation, which is part Christmas story and part pastoral work, from 20 to 30 December at the Maison de retraite des Frères from 2pm to 5pm.
