This year, La Parenthèse is innovating with a special evening entitled "Les Courts du soir", a festival of short films and documentaries.

- Part One: 118, Telemly -
118, Telemly is the forgotten story of a generation confronted with a musical genre. This generation is the Algerian youth of the 1990s, the period of the war against religious fundamentalism. The genre is heavy metal.
When my father died in his forties, I returned to Algeria. Faced with the prevailing amnesia, I confronted my adolescence as a heavy metal fan during the Algerian black decade.

- Part 2 10 ROUNDS -
Documentary retracing the entire preparation of boxer Mike Esteves before his fight for a belt and a national title.
Over a period of two months, we followed Mike?s physical preparation and daily life, right up to the day of his fight for the title of French super-boxing champion.
