LA CRÈCHE ANIMÉE DE FONSERANES

The Fonseranes crib is one of Béziers? curiosities. A small marvel of ingenuity, it has been the ongoing work of two Christian Brothers since 1937, and has been maintained since 2019 by the Friends of Saint-Aphrodise.
Part Christmas story, part pastoral work, for almost 85 years the Brothers? nativity scene has delighted all who come to rediscover the flavors of childhood during the festive season of the Nativity.
The magic of this crib lies in its animation, thanks to a set of bicycle wheels, pulleys and cams forming a bric-a-brac animated by an old washing machine motor and a record player.
