The Maison des Orpellières opens its doors in February for a special weekend entitled "Wetlands, sources of human well-being".
On the program:
- Co-creation workshop to create a mosaic fresco on the Orpellières. Mosaic teacher Didier Bigey will introduce the public to this method of creating a joint work.
- Children's stand: "Discovering small animals". Observe and understand the life cycle of insects, their differences and their roles, using a range of educational tools.
- Exhibition of posters on wetlands produced by local schoolchildren. Presented by the Orpellières resource center.
- A treasure hunt specially designed for World Wetlands Day around the Maison des Orpellières, with eight clues to be discovered in connection with the site and theme.
- Saturday February 22 at 2:30 pm: a walk and meeting with the Conservatoire du Littoral warden and Nature 2000 coordinator to discover and understand how a wetland functions and what is being done to protect it. Binoculars available.
These activities take place continuously, without reservation.
