EXPOSITION “VUES DE BÉZIERS – ARPENTER LA VILLE” – MUSÉE FAYET

Béziers has been, and still is, a favorite subject for artists. Whether local or visiting, using a variety of techniques, they have captured the city's striking view of the landscape, its emblematic monuments or its more confidential districts. They have also witnessed the city's metamorphoses, telling us the story of its history. Have the surroundings of Saint-Nazaire Cathedral always been as we know them? From the Forum to Place Pierre Sémard, how did the city?s markets evolve?

From the landscape to the urban landscape, via archive plans and old postcards, the exhibition takes us on a tour of the city?s sites, guiding us along the path of art history and bridging the gap between past and present.
