The 15 April 2025
Exhibition
9 Rue du Capus, 34500 BEZIERS
from 11h00 to 18h00
Presented as part of the 180th anniversary of the birth of Béziers sculptor Jean-Antoine Injalbert (1845-1933), Théo Michel, aka LAPS, offers a reinterpretation of the artistic links between Angers and Béziers. He highlights the iconographic elements shared by three emblematic artists from the 19th and 20th centuries: David d'Angers, Jules-Eugène Lenepveu and Jean-Antoine Injalbert.
Based on his research, the visual artist has built up an iconographic database, serving as a key element for glass engravings and other materials collected in the Biterrois region.
His works, exhibited alongside Injalbert's sculptures, question the (re)transmission and evolution of this legacy of influences, while also questioning its relevance in today's artistic context.
