Based in the Hérault region for 15 years, painter Geneviève Philippon presents works from her "Mammifères mélancoliques" collection.
From an early age, she learned the basics of drawing from Greek and Roman plaster casts. In Paris, she ran a language school and attended various workshops: live models, motif work, frescoes... and a common thread gradually emerged in her themes: the human figure. Her painting is a graphic construction, a compromise between abstraction and figuration, punctuated by more or less legible signs. Spraying, scratching, dripping, she exploits chance and provokes accidents.
