EXPOSITION D’ANTONY PARKS – L’ART DERRIÈRE LE NOM

The Société des Beaux-Arts de Béziers is pleased to present the works of Antony Parks, draughtsman, painter, photographer and graphic designer, in its Salle Fayet.

"I have always drawn and painted, but began my creative career in the early 70s as a storyboard artist and cameraman in a London audiovisual studio. After teaching at the Royal College in London, and living for a time in Rome, I now live in Béziers. My paintings try to bring to the viewer those shapes and colors that inspire me in my environment; I work a lot on the negative space that exists around the main object and on the detail that becomes the very essence of my canvas."

Antony will be presenting paintings, drawings and a number of proofs that shed light on his creative journey. The earliest work will be a portrait of his mother dating from 1968, the year he won the title of "Young Portrait Painter of the Year" in London.

Admission free.

The vernissage will take place on Friday March 7 at 5pm.
