Domaine Saint-Daumary is located in Valflaunès, in the heart of the AOC Pic Saint-Loup appellation. Julien Chapel manages this 20-hectare estate on this magnificent Pic terroir. He is the third generation of winemakers in the family. The vineyard is planted on the Hortus slopes at an altitude of 150m, on limestone soils. This allows the vines to take full advantage of the influence of the Mediterranean climate. What's more, the Hortus protects the vineyard from the setting sun, which can scorch the berries, and offers a unique microclimate. Ripening is slower, so the grapes have good acidity. This brings freshness to the wines. At Domaine Saint Daumary, there are three distinct areas benefiting from three very special Terroirs: Les Campasses, Les Plaines and Gourdou, which bring complexity to the wines. The Domaine has always been run according to the principles of organic farming, and has been certified AB since 2012.
