Since the city?s first museum was founded by the Société Archéologique de Béziers in 1859, the history of Béziers museums has been written in tandem with that of our Société. One of its members, Adalbert de Faniez (1818-1896), collector and art critic, made the largest donation ever to the Musée des Beaux-Arts.
