Mandatory reservation Domaine Fontchène is a biodynamic winegrowing estate in the Alpilles region of Provence, run by René Milan.
René Milan is a young winegrower who is following in his father's footsteps and learning at Château Romanin, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Provence. Today, he rigorously applies biodynamic principles, using ground quartz, horsetail, nettle and chamomile teas. Biodiversity can be seen everywhere in the vineyard: ladybugs, bees and earthworms in the soil. And, of course, no weedkillers are used on any of the estate?s plots. All grape varieties and plots are vinified separately, allowing us to clearly differentiate the terroirs and quality of each.
